WINGS - Positive Behavior Intervention Support

WINGS is our School-Wide Positive Behavior Intervention Support Program that started in the 2017-2018 School Year. This Program is our proactive way to educate, recognize, reinforce, and celebrate the behavior characteristics that are expected in our school. These characteristics are Welcoming, Involved, Neighborly, Genuine, and Safe in the Classrooms, Hallways, Cafeteria, and Social Interactions.

The WINGS Matrix, as shown below, is a reference to the specific, positive behaviors that are expected at our school. This Matrix is displayed in each classroom and throughout the hallways in our building.

WINGS Ticket

WINGS Tickets are distributed by all faculty and staff to students who have demonstrated a WINGS Behavior in the classroom, hallway, cafeteria, or social interaction. Students have the opportunity to earn red WINGS tickets for general matrix behaviors or gold WINGS tickets for the matrix behavior of the marking period.

Rewards/reinforcements for ticket earners include: prizes, snack tickets, outside seating at lunch, being a First Friday winner, marking period whole group rewards, and/or being recognized as the WINGS Student of the Marking Period at the quarterly breakfasts.

The WINGS Program is overseen by the WINGS Committee, which includes Administrators, Faculty, and the WINGS Student Board.
