Tours
Students will be able to tour the building beginning Monday, August 14 through Thursday, August 17. All students must be accompanied by a parent and sign-in at the main office in room B10. Updated maps of the building are available as well as copies of student schedules. Additionally, 6th grade student’s locker assignments and combinations are available in room B10.
Times for touring IV are:
- 9:00 to 11:30 - Tours
- 11:30 to 12:30 – Closed for Lunch
- 12:30 to 3:00 - Tours
Remember that sections of the building will not be accessible due to work being completed for the start of school. They will be marked with yellow caution tape. These areas are the new addition in the front of the building, gym and locker area, music area, and new D-Wing area. Also, the building is closed on Friday, August 18 and no students or parents will be allowed in the building.
When arriving, enter the building using the temporary main entrance on the right side of the building and follow the directional signs to the temporary main office in room B10. If you are having trouble entering the building, you can call the main office at 215-256-8896 for assistance.
Athletics/Fall Sports
Everything you need to know about IV athletics can be found on the Athletics section of the IV Web site.
Remember that the FamilyID portal is the online registration platform to facilitate PIAA clearance paperwork. The Athletics Department no longer accepts hard copy versions of the PIAA clearance paperwork. Students’ clearance work will be monitored year-to-year and simply updated in place of collecting new packets every sports season/school year.
Contact Mrs. Courtney Lepping, IV Athletic Director, with any questions about fall sports at clepping@soudertonsd.org or call the main office at 215-256-8896.
Laptop and Power Cord Distribution
When arriving on Tuesday, August 29, students will report directly to their advisory class. The advisory teacher will distribute the laptop and power cord with other information. IV tech. support will be ready for any student having technological problems.
District Handbook
I ask that you and your child review the District Handbook using the link below. The handbook includes information on academic policies, activities, attendance, and student services procedures plus more. If you have any questions about the handbook, call the main office at 215-256-8896.
STEM-YEA
IV students Luna Bianchimano and Sriya Gorrepati participated in the STEM-YEA activity over the summer at Kutztown University. Thanks to the Rotary Club of Harleysville who sponsored Luna and Sriya, they spent July 6 though July 9 with other students from surrounding counties and school districts studying "Astrobiology, the Search for Life on Mars." They both had a wonderful experience.
