IV Eagle Flyby - November 17, 2023

On behalf of the IV faculty and staff, we wish all a Happy Thanksgiving as we officially kick off the holiday season.

Food Drive
A huge THANK YOU to all families that donated food this week for the IV Community Food Drive to support local families in need and Keystone Opportunity Center. A large amount of food was collected for distribution next week.

Tech High School Club Visit
This week The Teach Girls Tech high school club visited Indian Valley to hold a STEM workshop on coding Mini Sphero robots. The girls had a blast learning about code, guiding their robots through mazes and getting them to talk! The club will be back in May with another great engineering challenge! A huge Thank You! to the girls from the high school tech club for running the activity!

Community Day Committee
While the school year just kicked off, it is time to start thinking Spring!!  And Spring at Indian Valley means Community Day – the most anticipated event of the year.  We need 6-8 parent volunteers to assist with preparing for this event.  Our committee meets once per month for an hour to brainstorm and plan.  Parents would assist with securing parent volunteers, business sponsorships and brainstorming new ways to make it bigger and better.  If you’re interested, please sign up at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0B4EABAF2FABF58-46213410-indian. Volunteer Opportunities (IV Helping Hands)  
The IV volunteer opportunities wheel continues rolling and below is updated volunteer information and opportunities for parents to volunteer.

Parents interested in signing up to be included on the volunteer roster will help with volunteer recruitment efforts and coordinate communications to you. Signing up on this site does not commit you. A separate communication for each event will provide activity information and solicit your volunteer commitment (could include set up, chaperoning, fundraising, donating food or other items, event support, etc.).

• Upcoming Opportunity……. Volunteers for assisting teachers organize their classrooms after transitioning from Phase 5 to Phase 6 of the renovation the week of December 18. Look for a SignUp Genius to be posted after the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Girls on the Run (Heart & Sole)

We are excited to announce the return of Girls on the Run (Heart & Sole) to Indian Valley! Practices will be held this year for 8 weeks on Thursday's from 3PM-5PM starting February 29th.
