IV Eagle Flyby - October 20, 2023

Thank you to all the parents that helped with the Top Golf trip, Cookie Dough Pick-Up, Fundraiser Bingo Party, Activity Night, Pretzel Day, Doughnut Day, and other events this month. Be sure to check out the activity calendar and volunteer opportunities as we head into November. Our next big event is on Friday, October 27 when we run our annual Pink Out Day. Additionally, our school counselors will hold their first Career Café on October 27. Students get to select the career presentation of their interest during the lunches.

Speaking of lunches, this week we had our first student tasting in the cafeteria. Students sampled a Bahn Mi pulled pork sandwich and pasta primavera. The winning dish was the Bahn Mi pulled pork sandwich. The item will be added to the lunch menu throughout the year.

Top Golf Trip

Students that participated in the fall fundraiser and attained the field trip goal went to Top Golf in King of Prussia. Thank you to all the parent and teacher chaperones for making the trip to Top Golf a Hole-in-One!

Activity Night

The IV Student Council held their first activity night on Friday, October 13. The night went smoothly with students enjoying playing basketball, dancing, and running through an inflatable obstacle course. Thank you to the parents and staff that chaperoned the event. More activity nights are being planned by the Student Council.

Buddy Walk

IVMS students doing things out in the community.  IV students participated in the CHOP Buddy Walk 2023 at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday, October 8. Indian Valley Team Evan was the top team. The event is held to raise money to support the Trisomy 21 Program at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. This program provides care for hundreds of children with Down syndrome, offers support to patients throughout their lives, and resources to their families. Congratulations to Team Evan and thank you for participating in the CHOP Buddy Walk.

Volunteer Opportunities (IV Helping Hands)   

We continue to have had a lot of activities through the months of October, November, and December and are grateful to all the parents that volunteered to help with them. The wheel continues rolling and below is updated volunteer information and opportunities for parents to volunteer.   

Parents interested in signing up to be included on the volunteer roster will help with volunteer recruitment efforts and coordinate communications to you. Signing up on this site does not commit you. A separate communication for each event will provide activity information and solicit your volunteer commitment (could include set up, chaperoning, fundraising, donating food or other items, event support, etc.).
