The 8th Grade Dance is scheduled for Friday, May 30th, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. This dance is for 8th Grade Indian Valley students only, and students will need to show their IVMS school identification card to enter the dance. If students need a new ID card, they should go to the main office. On May 6, 6th grade Math teachers will administer the Orleans-Hanna Prognosis Test to all students currently enrolled in Math 6 during their Math block. Students currently enrolled in 6th Grade Accelerated Math will not take the assessment. Parents who do not want their child to take the Orleans-Hanna Placement Test and not be considered for the 7th Grade Accelerated Math course must e-mail their student's math teacher by May 2. IVMS Math and ELA teachers will be sending home Family Reports with students. These reports show your student's performance in these classes on their initial round of MAP testing in early September. MAP testing is an important tool that teachers use throughout the school year to monitor the growth and needs of their students.
