students should get a pass to speak with the instructor during 8th period in order to sign up for any of the following clubs. Students will also have an opportunity to sign up at all lunch periods during club sign-ups.

A CAPELLA - Day 5 - Year Grade 7 only
A Capella Choir is a 7th grade choir that meets one eighth period each cycle and one day after school each week. This small group will sing advanced music without piano accompaniment and will perform at the choral concerts and the Renaissance Faire. You must audition and have the director's approval to join. Sponsor: Ms. Clausz

BELL CHOIR - Days 2 & 4 - Year
Membership in Bell Choir is by audition. Once accepted, the Choir will rehearse on day 2. This choir is expected to participate in both the Holiday Concert and the Spring Concert. Students will receive a grade on their report card for participation in this activity. Rehearsals will be in B-7. Club Sponsor: Mrs. Ramage

CHAMBER ENSEMBLE - Days 4 & 5 - Year
This course is open to 6th and 7th grade string students. It will be a select group of advanced string players exploring the chamber music of the Baroque and Classical periods. Auditions may be required. Acceptance into this group requires the permission of Club Sponsor: Mr. Kujala.

CHORUS - Day 1
This club is for any student interested in singing with a group and does not have it during the day. The educational focus is on proper vocal techniques such as pitch, breath support, and diction. Musical selections include a variety of styles, part-singing, and songs in foreign languages. This group performs two concerts a year that all students must attend. This group is for the general singer. Club Sponsors: Mrs. Ramage and Ms. Clausz

DANCE REVOLUTION - Days 3 & 4
This club will provide students will an in-depth look at their fitness levels while also providing them with opportunities to enhance their conditioning intensities. Students are required to log steps, track daily activities and keep accurate log sheets. (Students will be required to weigh themselves on a monthly basis) Some activities involve pedometers, dance pads and weight machines. Club Sponsors: Mr. Kelly & Mrs. Marshall

GREEN THUMBS - Day 4 Year
In this club, we'll use the Indian Valley greenhouse to learn many things about growing plants. We will be planting bulbs in containers for an indoor-late winter garden. We'll also run a geranium sale for Mother's Day, selling geraniums that we'll grow ourselves from purchased cuttings. Several other projects are planned, but the details will be up to you! LITERARY MAGAZINE - Days 2 & 3
Help organize, publish and sell the written work of Indian Valley Students. Club Sponsor: Mrs. Koch

MORNING SHOW - Days 1, 2, 3, or 4 (possibility of more than one day) T1, T2, T3
This club was chosen by tryouts last year. They will produce the Morning Show and edit specials for the school. Club Sponsors: Mr. Berger and Mrs. Stanfield

ORCHESTRA - Days 1 and 2 Year
Students involved in this course are given a 40 minute group lesson twice during the 6 day cycle. Students receive a letter grade each marking period based on their lesson and large ensemble performance. Club Sponsor: Mr. Kujala.

ORGANIZATION CLUB - Days 2 or 4 - T1, T2, T3
The purpose of this club is to support through a teaching-coaching model of instruction, those students who need help organizing their work including long term projects, class notes, homework and even materials. These students often do not know how to study and/or how to organize themselves to study. Some of the students need help organizing their personal spaces, i.e. locker, backpack, and study area. Utilizing a rubric, the club will assist the students in organizing these areas. The club may take "field trips" to the students' lockers for this type of work. The club will utilize the student's own work as a basis for developing the requisite skills for academic success. Club Sponsor: Mrs. Crowell

PERCUSSION ENSEMBLE - Day 3 Year
Students must be advanced percussionist and must have an interest in playing all types of percussion instruments. Criteria: Must be band member and audition. Club Sponsor: Mrs. Russo

PHOTOGRAPHY - Days 2 & 3 - Year
Candid shots for the yearbook will be the main goal. Students will learn how to use a digital camera and also how to work with images and make prints. Choose one or both days. Club Sponsor: Mrs. Fiorillo

STUDENT COUNCIL - Days 2, 3, 4 or 5 - Year
All officers and committee chairpersons need to sign up for day 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 depending upon your committee. Club Sponsors: Mrs. Bano, Mrs. Dome, Mrs. Clemmer, Mrs. Taylor

VIDEO EDITING - Days 1, 2, and 3 - T1, T2, T3
This club requires the candidates to submit an application. Take advantage of state of the art film editing equipment. Make your own videos using multi- media resources. Club Sponsor: Mr. Berger

YEARBOOK CLUB - Days 1 & 4 - Year
Do you like to write? Edit? Publish? Would you like to be part of producing Indian Valley's Yearbook? This club is for you! Join Club Sponsor: Mrs. Clemmer in the computer lab writing, revising, and publishing the Yearbook.
